Advising

UHP advising assists honors students in achieving academic success, finding opportunities for involvement, and discovering the depth and breadth of intellectual life of the University.

The honors advising model carries a University-wide perspective.  UHP’s experienced professional academic advising staff works closely with each college and department across campus to learn their college-specific advising practices, research opportunities, and curricular requirements.  This practice greatly benefits students whose academic interests extend beyond the boundaries of one specific college or discipline.

Honors students work with their honors advisor throughout their college career, from choosing courses for their first semester, to preparing for both graduation with Latin honors and life beyond college as they journey towards graduate schools, professional schools and careers.

Visit the UHP staff page for a list of honors advisors.

Honors students also benefit from interaction with Faculty Honors Representatives who are available to help with more discipline-specific issues.
