Honors Thesis

The Honors Thesis presents both an interesting challenge and a great opportunity for undergraduate students. The completion of such a project serves to focus students’ interests, provide perspective on their studies, develop scholarly skills, and encourage creativity and academic independence.  Whether the product of a research, practicum or artistic experience, it provides students with an unusual opportunity to define and investigate a topic and to complete a piece of serious, academic writing.

An Honors Thesis is required of all students graduating with any level of Latin honors. Students should expect this to be a year-long effort, including the time involved in developing the project, completing research, and writing the thesis.
