An Honors thesis is lengthier than a non-Honors thesis, and is considerably more in-depth and more critical in content. The Honors thesis is held to higher writing standards than the non-Honors thesis. Additionally, an Honors thesis student will publicly present his or her thesis during the opening reception for the senior exhibition, and the senior exhibition project will be identified — or labeled — as honors-level work. Summa cum laude students are required to complete a public presentation and/or oral exam with the thesis committee.
