Capstone Considerations

The Honors Thesis is individually directed by a faculty mentor, whereas the non-Honors Senior capstone is a course-based experience. Honors psychology students pursue a program of study that culminates in a critical literature review or empirical study. General workload: 3 hours of work per week, per credit.

Thesis Requirements

Summa theses must comprise an empirical research project with data collection (option: could be a meta-analysis). Summa students must also participate in University Undergraduate Research Symposium OR a state/regional/or national conference approved by the Honors Faculty Representative. See the "Attached Documents" section below for a detailed Latin Honors rubric.
