UHP Seeks Communications Intern

December 6, 2021

The University Honors Program seeks to hire a UHP student for our communications internship. This position will begin early in the spring 2022 semester, and ideal candidates will be interested in continuing into the 2022-23 academic year. (For the spring 2022 semester, you will work alongside our current communications intern and prepare to assume greater responsibility and additional hours with the start of the fall 2022 semester. )

Second- and third-year UHP students with relevant experience or academic pursuits—including journalism, photography, public relations, and managing social media for a public-facing organization—are especially encouraged to apply. Engagement with UHP (through coursework, NEXUS Experiences, research, creative work, learning abroad, community-engaged learning, etc) will also be considered. The communications intern reports to and works directly with UHP's communications manager to research, create, revise, and share stories and other content for the program's website and social media platforms. The communications manager provides editorial feedback and works with the intern to successfully revise and finalize stories. In addition, the intern will assist with the research and exploration of new social media opportunities for UHP.
