DAAD Study Scholarship

Supports a one- or two-year Master's degree at a German University, or one year of research for students enrolled in a graduate program elsewhere.  Applicants must be full-time enrolled SENIORS, recent GRADUATES, or GRADUATE STUDENTS in any field of study; U.S. or Canadian citizen or foreign national meeting certain conditions; have a well-defined study project. An invitation from a faculty member in Germany is preferred. Applicants in the arts, humanities, and social sciences should have a good command of German. Includes monthly stipend of EUR 750 and health insurance. Requires a campus review and interview process.

This scholarship is either coordinated by another campus unit or does not require UMN involvement in the application process. The Office for National and International Scholarships may provide guidance on applications as time and resources allow.
