The Yenching Scholarship covers the costs of transportation and twelve months of post-graduate study for a Master's degree in China Studies at Yenching Academy of Peking University. Competitive applicants will have an outstanding academic record, notable community engagement, extracurricular involvement, leadership potential, and a strong rationale for interdisciplinary study in China. Applicants can choose from concentrations in various fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants may be citizens of any country and 25 years old or younger. 125 Scholars are selected annually.
This scholarship requires a nomination from the University of Minnesota in order to apply at the national or international level. The Office for National and International Scholarships organizes the nomination process, consults with all interested students on assembling competitive applications, works with nominees to prepare for all stages of national competition, and publicizes results.
