Capstone Considerations
Students who are enrolled in the University Honors Program must also complete DH 4226. The Honors thesis for magna and cum laude can be an expanded version of the clinical case report and oral presentation for this course, adding in the use of a PICO question and an extensive literature review.
Thesis Requirements
Summa students are expected to take their work from DH 4135W and carry out the completion of the experiment and analysis of its data in their thesis.
Committee Composition
All theses must be approved by a three member committee. At least one committee member (not necessarily the advisor) must be a tenure-track faculty member at the University of Minnesota, and at least one must be affiliated with the department in which the thesis is conducted.
