Communication Studies

Students are required to complete the capstone in a 4xxx-5xxx level course and enroll simultaneously in COMM 3999W (1 credit). The capstone project can take many forms depending on the course: a regular research paper, a service engagement, or a media production piece. For the honors thesis students are asked to prepare a project that exceeds the capstone project by assuring that the project goes beyond a mere summary and description of the knowledge base. Students are asked to engage in data collection and analysis and to present their work in a public presentation.
